Winnie

Winnie has been through so much in her life. She was surrendered to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized because she had a torn ligament in her back legs. She was overweight and her owners could not afford the surgery. Thankfully the vet clinic contacted CCK and her fosters were not only able to get some weight off her but also get her through a double cruciate repair. 

Her foster parents hoped to keep her, but after more than a year, it is apparent Winnie prefers to be the queen of the house. She has had frequent "scuffles with the other resident queen of the house, also a corgi. So we want Winnie to be the queen of her own castle. 

Winnie is not real exicted about walking the neighborhood; a couple of blocks is enough for her. She would rather watch over her backyard and her castle. Because of her surgery, Winnie walks with a little bit of a wobble and likely always will. However, IF there is a bunnyr or squirrel in the yard, all bets are off. Her weight will need to be keep in check. She CANNOT get heavy or her legs could cause problems. She is perfectly fine otherwise. We do not foresee any issues from her surgery.

Despite not being too fond of other dogs, Winnie loves her people; giving kisses and cuddling.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and has been kept on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. She is available now. Please submit an application through the link below. Winnie just turned 6 Aug. 13.
