Callie

ADOPTION PENDING!

Callie is a little corgi-mix that found her way on to a nice lady's property where she was taken in and kept the past couple of years. The kind woman has taken in too many strays and needed some help finding
homes so Corgi Connection of Kansas agreed to find Callie a furr-ever home.

CallieIIUnfortunately Callie came with some health issues; the largest of which is heart-worms. She begins the hardest part of her treatment June 21 when she gets her first dose of immiticide. It will then be another 30 days when she is treated again. After that, she will be tested and presuming all is well, she will be ready for her furr-ever home which will be late August.

Callie, we were told, is about 6 years old. She is a spunky little gal that is a tad tall and likes to be up on top of things and definitely near her person. She is a reall doll but will need some basic obedience training; a tall fence of at least 6 feet and adopted to a home where there is someone home more often than not as she does seem quite anxious when she can't find "her person." She does fine with other dogs and is fine with cats. She is currently being fostered with another CCK rescue, Toby; both of which are being treated for heart-worms.

Callie's other health issues included whipworms, which have been treated, getting her teeth cleaned and dew claws removed which were proving to be dangerous to her by possibly getting snagged on something. Those issue have all been addressed and treated and now we are just waiting to get her through the rest of her heart-worm treatment. We have no reason to believe she will not make a 100% recovery.

Her adoption fee is $275. She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations.
